Nexus 7 2013 - Is it the 7-inch version of Nexus 10 ?

Nexus 7 2 with all its mighty glory and power is expected to be releasing by the end of July.
The specifications confirming the Nexus from the Asus customer representative and the approximate dates gives all much expectation about what the next Nexus device in the Nexus family should be. Lets hope this kid is going to keep the family's name all glorious!

Though the Nexus 7 2/HD has some mind-blowing features implemented into it, it seems like the specifications appears to be bit exaggerating. Or is Google going to "Redefine the Standards" ?

The Nexus 7 was a wonderful 7-inch tablet comparing it to the other 7-inch tablets . Nexus 10 was made for users to experience the full Android Jellybean capabilities with a huge display and a powerful Samsung Exynos processor.

Nexus 10 had been giving a great user experience to the users since the past year. The multi-user support, the beautiful  2560 x 1600 (300 ppi)  ten inch screen, front and back cameras for HD-video chat and video recording respectively, the thin and light weight form-factor, the front facing speakers for watching Youtube and other videos without headphones and all the other awesome features that the Nexus 10 had made it the best Android device that one could own.

Why did I brag all these time about the Nexus 10 when we are here to talk about the Nexus 7 HD ? Well you will know that after reading this full post.

Now lets come to the features that the Nexus 7 2 and the the Nexus 10 has in each of them and how does each see oneself to the other.

Processor

Nexus 10 - Samsung Exynos 5 Dual
Nexus 7 HD - Qualcomm Snapdragon 600

The CPUBoss gives a really better rating for Snapdragon 600 (8.8/10) compared to Exynos 5 Dual (8.2/10) [ chances are there these ratings may change] . Google has used the Exynos 5 Dual in their affordable laptop Samsung Chromebook
The Exynos 5 Dual is a better battery saving CPU compared to the Exynos 4 Quad. Snapdragon series has been also introduced under the power-saving brand
Both are having the ARM Cortex A-15 Cpu in them with a bit different clocking speeds, Exynos has 1.6 GHz and Snapdragon 1.9 GHz.

RAM

Nexus 10 - 2 GB
Nexus 7 HD - 2 GB

The Nexus 7 has upgraded its internal memory to 2 GB from 1 GB. This will better performance with the gaming and the high-definition rendering for the New Nexus.

Display

Nexus 10 - 10.1 inch
Nexus 7 HD - 7 inch

Of course the Nexus 7 HD is 7-inch. Bigger the display more closer to larger visual experience, but less closer to portability.

Pixel-density

Nexus 10 - 300 ppi
Nexus 7 HD - 323 ppi

The pixel density of the Nexus 7 HD is the Highest PPI among all the 10-inch and 7-inch tablets, and comes close to Nexus 5's 326 ppi. What is with Nexus devices and providing dense pixel distribution ? Take any Nexus device, Google has tried to give the highest pixel density to the Nexus device compared to other devices in the same class. So this makes it obvious why the next Nexus 7 will be the Nexus 7 HD. Anyways the best is getting better, now you can play your favorite videos in HD and see your gaming graphics with more clarity and life.

Camera

Nexus 10 - Front cam - 1.9 MP, Main Cam - 5 MP
Nexus 7 HD - Front cam - 1.2 MP, Main Cam - 5 MP

Nexus 7 HD has a back camera compared to the earlier version. This gives the users an option to capture pictures using their "tablet", which sounds very odd.... but still Google is adding that capability to make
Nexus 7 HD, the complete 7-inch experience in your hands...

Mobile connectivity

Nexus 10 - No mobile (GSM/CDMA) connectivity
Nexus 7 HD - HSPA/LTE Connectivity

The New Nexus 7 is having high-speed LTE connectivity for mobile internet. This gives users to get lightning speed internet on the go. Thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600, it supports LTE networking.

Is anything missing?   Yeah!  What about the price, battery power and the device weight. We can see that after the Nexus 7 HD has been officially released.

So what do you think to my above statement
Why did I brag all these time about the Nexus 10 when we are here to talk about the Nexus 7 HD ? Well you will know that after reading this full post.

Yes you got it ! Nexus 7 is going to be the next Nexus 10 in 7-inch form factor.

How do you feel now? I feel like  hearing this all night.
